Osama Muhammad al Vahad Bin Laden, nació el 10 de marzo de 1957 en Riad, Arabia Saudí y murió el 2 de mayo de 2011 en Abbottabad, Pakistán. Era hijo del
Estudió en el colegio elitista
Al-Thager y en la Universidad Rey Abdul Aziz, estuvo de visita en la Universidad
de Oxford, donde intimó con dos jóvenes españolas.
Se sabe que realizó un máster de
administración comercial, pero después comenzó a realizar estudios teológicos coránicos,
teniendo como maestros a Abdala Azam jefe supremo de los yihadistas afganos y
Mohamed Qotb, este era el hermano de Sayyid Qotb que fundo en 1978 los hermanos
musulmanes en Egipto.
Su relación con el yihadismo
comenzó a la tierna edad de dieciséis años y la materializó a los veinte cuando
se involucró plenamente en la guerra de Afganistán para expulsar al ejército
ruso.
En 1986 crea un Centro de Adiestramiento
Militar, con instalaciones para almacenar armamento y explosivo y dotándolo con
un hospital para cuidado de sus combatientes.
Alcanza el liderazgo de la Yihad,
cuando uno de sus mentores Abdala Azam, muere asesinado en 1989, en esos
momentos sus posturas estaban alejadas.
Es entonces cuando crea la
Organización Al Qaeda (La Base), creando una red de registro de sus correligionarios
que siguen fielmente su doctrina, capaces de llevar a cabo la yihad en
cualquier lugar del mundo.
Se distancia del gobierno saudí
por permitir usar su terreno a las tropas norteamericanas durante la guerra del
Golfo, por lo que es expulsado del país, se establece en Afganistán y en Sudán,
llegando a afirmar que Afganistán era la única nación eminentemente musulmana.
Como suní wahabí, tenía al
movimiento chií como herejes a los que había que combatir.
Ayudaba a los pobres al puro
estilo del legendario Robyn Hood.
En los últimos años de su vida,
se retiró a Abbottabad un barrio residencial de la ciudad pakistaní de Islamabad,
viviendo en una casa fortificada próxima a la Academia Militar de Pakistán.
Los servicios secretos
descubrieron su paradero y el día 2 de mayo de 2011, un equipo helitransportado
de SEAL, la Unidad de elite de la marina USA, realizó una operación relámpago contra
la casa, donde le dan muerte.
Según la versión oficial, su cadáver
fue trasladado al portaviones USS Carl Wilson y tras una ceremonia con rito
musulmán, depositado en el mar Arábigo.
A partir de ahí, circulan todo
tipo de especulaciones, desde que ya había muerto mucho antes, a la que habría
sido trasladado a los Estados Unidos.
Fue sustituido al frente de Al Qaeda
por el médico egipcio Ayman al Zawahiri, su fiel segundo comandante y quien
según versiones le trataba de una afección renal que padecía.

Osama Muhammad al Vahad Bin Laden, was born on March 10, 1957 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and died on May 2, 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan. He was the son of billionaire Saudi contractor Mohammed Bin Awad and his tenth wife Hamida al-Attas.
She studied at the elitist Al-Thager school and

she became intimate with two young Spanish women.

in commercial administration, but then began to study Koranic theology, having
as teachers Abdullah Azam, supreme leader of the Afghan jihadists, and Mohamed

Egypt in 1978.
His relationship with jihadism began at the
tender age of sixteen and materialized at the age of twenty when he became
fully involved in the war in Afghanistan to expel the Russian army.
In 1986 it created a Military Training Center,
with facilities to store weapons and explosives and providing it with a
hospital for the care of its combatants.
He reached the leadership of Jihad, when one of
his mentors, Abdullah Azam, was assassinated in 1989, at that time their
positions were far apart.
It is then that he created the Al Qaeda
Organization (The Base), creating a registry network of his coreligionists who
faithfully follow his doctrine, capable of carrying out jihad anywhere in the
world.
He distanced himself from the Saudi government
for allowing US troops to use his land during the Gulf War, so he was expelled
from the country, settled in Afghanistan and Sudan, going so far as to claim
that Afghanistan was the only eminently Muslim nation.
As a Wahhabi Sunni, he saw the Shiite movement
as heretics to be fought.
He helped the poor in pure Robyn Hood style.
In the last years of his life, he retired to
Abbottabad, a residential neighborhood of the Pakistani city of Islamabad,
living in a fortified house near the Pakistan Military Academy.
The secret services discovered his whereabouts
and on May 2, 2011, a helicopter team from SEAL, the elite unit of the US Navy,
carried out a lightning operation against the house, where he was killed.
According to the official version, his body was
transferred to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Wilson and after a ceremony with
Muslim rite, deposited in the Arabian Sea.
From there, all kinds of speculations
circulate, from the fact that he had already died long before, to the one who
would have been transferred to the United States.
He was replaced at the head of Al Qaeda by the
Egyptian doctor Ayman al Zawahiri, his faithful second commander and who
according to versions treated him for a kidney condition he suffered.
