
PHYSICAL FITNESS FOR SOLDIERS What physical shape are you in? Phisical fitness is very important if you want to live better. For armies of all countries, keeping their soldiers in shape is a must, because it is essential in times of war. It can mean the difference between life and death. But it is not easy to find the ideal sport, because we all have different personal abilities. In my opinion, the ideal fitness for our soldiers is achieved by praticing different parts of various sports. To mantain a good physical shape it is not necessary to be an specialist in a certain sport, but to mantain a good balance between strengh and endurance. Soldiers need to carry on their shoulders, backpacks with more than 15 kilos of weight and walk long distances. Perhaps that is why the Danish Army has a good way to test the physical fitness of soldiers, with creation of a competition called Dancom Race.
