FESTIVAL DE EUROVISIÓN//EUROVISION SONG CONTEST
A estas alturas, a nadie se le
escapa, que el Festival de Eurovisión es un
evento con un cien por cien de connotaciones
políticas. Fue así desde un principio y los países siempre votaban por simpatía
con los más allegados, independientemente de la calidad de la canción.
Pero cuando solo eran los jurados los que emitían
el voto, este desvío se notaba en el que le daban los 12 puntos y en las
puntuaciones intermedias que se daban por “compromiso”. “Le vamos a dar los tres puntitos, por
llevarnos bien” pero en la segunda y tercera puntuación, solía primar la
calidad de la interpretación.
Pero luego comenzaron a llegar nuevos intereses, uno de ellos el económico y entró en juego el “tele voto” que
produce unos suculentos ingresos, debido a lo que se cobra por llamada, donde
la organización se hace con una “pasta gansa”. Pero el tele voto, carece de
objetividad, porque el reglamento no impide que una persona pueda hacer mas de
una llamada por un candidato, por lo que entran en juego controversias,
debido a los estados de opinión, pero sobre todo a una carencia fiable de
garantías.
Pero, en torno al festival hay mas
detalles, por supuesto, lo económico, por ejemplo la carencia de una orquesta, que antes estaba presente y solo cambiaba era el director de cada país, ahora es
música de “lata” grabada, es cierto que antes era un directo tan riguroso, que
a veces fallaba un micrófono y perjudicaba al interprete, pero le daba más
realismo a la actuación.
También está el aumento de países participantes,
con lo que hubo que hacer selección, por lo que la final pierde encanto pues terminas viendo la
interpretación de los cantantes antes de la final. Aquí entra en juego otro detalle a
saber: Si es un Festival de Euro-Vision (se entiende visión europea), entonces
porque toman parte países no europeos como Israel o Australia, aunque creo que
alguna vez también había tomado parte Estados Unidos, pero tal vez lo confunda
con el festival de la OTI. (Uno ya va siendo mayor)
Esto de meter países que no son
del continente, pasa en otros ámbitos, ya pasó hace unos años en el Campeonato
de Europa de Triathlon celebrado en Pontevedra, ahí estuvo presente precisamente
Australia, es verdad que solicitado a la ITO, como preparación del Campeonato
del Mundo, pero también estuvo Israel, pero aquí nadie explicó por qué.
Pero hay varas de medir
diferentes para caso, por ejemplo, se excluye a Rusia, por una guerra y se
permite a otros por la misma u otra guerra. Yo no estoy de acuerdo en absoluto
con el boicot a la participación, porque yo que practiqué con mayor o menor
acierto, el atletismo durante 45 años y sé lo que cuesta preparar las
competiciones ¿qué culpa tienen los atletas o este caso los cantantes de lo que
digan o hagan sus dirigentes políticos que los gobiernan?
Podría alguien contestar: tienen
culpa por que estan por que los votan, pero eso no es más que una verdad a
medias, que es peor que una mentira, ya que muchas veces en los países europeos,
no son los que más votos sacaron los que estan al frente de los gobiernos, sino porque se coaligan, unen o pactan
entre partidos y al final gobierna quien
gobierna.
Eurovisión tiene que darle al
festival un enfoque nuevo, impedir actuaciones que son más un teatrillo que una
interpretación musical, dejar de ver tanto el bolsillo y volver a poner
orquestas, elegir jurados preparados musicalmente y tal vez alcance la cota que
bien merece.

But around the festival there are more details,
where between the economic, for example the lack of an orchestra, before it was
present and what changed was the conductor for each country, now it is recorded
"can" music, it is true that before it was such a rigorous live
performance, that sometimes a microphone failed and harmed the performer, but it gave more realism to the performance.
The increase in participating countries
followed, so we had to make a selection, so in the end you end up seeing the
performance before the final, but here another detail comes into play, namely:
If it is a Euro-Vision Contest (European vision is understood), then why do
non-European countries such as Israel or Australia take part, although I think the United States had also
taken part at some point, but perhaps I confuse it with the OTI festival. (One
is getting older)
This thing of putting countries that are not
from the continent, happens in other areas, it already happened a few years ago
in the European Triathlon Championship held in Pontevedra, Australia was
present there, it is true that requested from the ITO, as preparation for the
World Championship, but Israel was also there, but no one explained why.
But there are different yardsticks in case, for
example, Russia is excluded for a war and others are allowed for the same or
another war. I do not agree at all with the boycott of participation, because
I, who practiced athletics with greater or lesser success, for 45 years and I
know what it costs to prepare for competitions, what is the fault of the
athletes or in this case the singers for what their political leaders who
govern them say or do?
Someone could answer that they are to blame
because they are voted for, but that is nothing more than a half-truth, which
is worse than a lie, since many times in European countries, they are not the
ones that got the most votes for governments, because they coalesce, unite or
agree between parties and in the end whoever governs governs.
Eurovision has to give the festival a new
approach, prevent performances that are more of a little theater than a musical
performance, stop seeing so much in the pocket and put orchestras back, choose
musically prepared juries and perhaps reach the level it well deserves.
