He ahí la diferencia.

THE REASON FOR THE FIRES

According to the politicians in power, it is all due to climate change. At my age, when I was over seventy, I always knew fires, but before, the forest was more cared for, people took grass to feed the cattle, straw to make them a bed to rest in the stable and wide firebreaks to prevent the fire from advancing uncontrollably. That

which people had to cut by hand and move with ox carts.

Then the tractors arrived, but more or less things remained the same, until we entered Europe, it was when the number of animals was reduced, the weeds began to grow uncontrollably, chainsaws and metal cutters arrived, which when they touch a stone produce sparks, the straw and dry grass is a wick that quickly ignites when a spark is blown. People stopped having animals, farms began to close, the mountains were no longer taken care of and the firebreaks disappeared and the fire business began.

This business dedicated to extinguishing began with the hiring of forest fire crews that are only hired in the summer season, if there are no fires they are not hired, if they are small, fewer people are brought, and to this we add the private air resources, because the officers do not arrive. On many occasions these temporary contracts are behind the cause of the fires because if there are no fires there are no contracts.

According to experts in forestry engineering, a quarter of what is invested in extinguishing them in summer would be invested in keeping the forests clean in
winter. Why is it not done, who benefits from this business politically? I don't have the technical knowledge to answer this question, but the issue is real.

Hunting ceased to be the sport that had the most licenses of all in our country, many preserves stopped operating, the bureaucratic obstacles to exercise this sport, made many hunters get rid of the equipment, to the point that the Civil Guard stopped auctioning the shotguns delivered, because no one was interested in them,  Now weapons are destroyed, without their owners receiving a single euro, if there are no hunters in the mountains more weeds grow, as the poet said: "You make your way by walking". The hunter cannot go on the roads when he is hunting, that is what the hiker does, the walkers do not step on the undergrowth, as the hunter does. That is the difference.

The hunting practice of small game hunting begins in October and ends in January, it was one more prevention that was dismissed. Curiously, with the loss of the number of shotguns, the population of rabbits and hares did not increase, but decreased, because vermin increased, fewer releases are made, since there are fewer hunters, and as rye or wheat is not planted in the field, partridges
disappeared from practically all the Galician mountains, in addition the new machinery does not leave loose grains.  Birds do not have anything to eat, they look for their sustenance next to the houses and fall victim to cats.

In view of what we have seen, you don't have to have studies in forestry engineering, to realize that the biggest culprit of the fires is not climate change, the culprits are those who, without consulting with ranchers, hunters and rural people, make prohibitive laws, not taking firewood, not picking pineapples, not being able to take their dogs and dogs together in trailers,  no... no... no... but the mountains are not cleaned, the problem of summer is not prevented in the winter and so it is, with more risks, more economic expenses and what is worse, more fatalities.
