ACUERDO DEL CAIRO 2025, DIA DE SORPRESA, LLOROS Y ALEGRIAS//CAIRO 2025 AGREEMENT, A DAY OF SURPRISE, TEARS AND JOY

JOSE MOORE
At such a turbulent time for the entire Middle East, I am very concerned that everything could be blown up. Because similar situations have been experienced in
the Oslo, Camp David and Cairo Accords in past editions. In all of them, as soon as the slightest spark was produced, the bases of the Agreement have been blurred and everything was left in vain, that is, in NOTHING. Hopefully this time it won't be like that, but I'm afraid it won't take long for things to go back to business as usual. Something that the Israeli MP is not very concerned about, because it will allow him to stay in power.
After the fateful massive attack by Palestinian
militias on October 7, 2023, in which Israel initially suffered in its flesh,
the death of 1200 citizens and the kidnapping of about 250 more, things changed
radically for the worse in the entire area and the Region sank into the deepest
pain everywhere. In this conflict there were no winners, everyone lost out.
They lost the fatalities on both sides, whether
or not they were innocent of what happened that high day. They lost their
relatives, who saw how gratuitously their loved ones had died. They lost the
living, from both sides who suffered the horror of captivity, in the face of
the uncertainty of the future and the trauma produced by the situation they
were experiencing. Children who were affected by a war that was being bloody,
especially on the Gaza side, with soldiers who shot when they only wanted to look
for food, lost their childhood.
The United Nations and the European Community
lost, which were not able to manage a settlement of the situation, without
unity among their members and which demonstrated their ineffectiveness in
conflicts of this type.
They lost the parliaments of different
countries, where we saw how some parties ran on one side and others on the
other, dividing society.
Those who take a great agreement for granted
lost, congratulating themselves, after not even being able to bring about a
ceasefire, when they were negotiating the peace agreement.
The relatives of both lost their hope, who did
not know if their loved ones were among those released and if they were alive
or dead, so at the time of the exchange, both began to shed tears, in some
cases of joy and in others of sadness.
Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Qatar and other Arab
countries in the area lost, which showed that they did not know how to
negotiate in the pacification of the region, showing as much fragility as other
coalitions and suffering the onslaught of war.
Finally, the Israeli people suffered, who for
two years have seen a lot of their own blood spilled and in which part of
society did not see with pleasure the retaliation of an abominable attack,
because during these two years, they saw the coffins of their soldiers killed
in the conflict on the land of Gaza received.
This, as in almost all wars, was a conflict of
losers, where the points of agreement are so tenuous that at any moment it will
blow up.
