CIEN AÑOS DE LA VISITA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA A SOR LUCIA EN PONTEVEDRA//ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF OUR LADY'S VISIT TO SISTER LUCIA IN PONTEVEDRA On December 10, 1925, Our Lady Invocation of Fatima, accompanied by the Child Jesus, visited Sister Lucia, one of the Portuguese shepherdesses (her cousins Francisco and Jacinta had already died) to ask her at the school of the Doroteas Sisters of Pontevedra, the devotion of the "Five First Saturdays of the Month". Due to the centenary of the aforementioned visit this year, the Vatican granted that, from December 10 of this year to December 10, 2026, it would be declared a jubilee year, with the granting of indulgences. For which a series of events will take place, so that the faithful can enjoy this anniversary. The events will begin on Monday, December 8 (Immaculate Conception Day) with an inter-parish celebration presided over by the archbishop of the diocese of Santiago, Francisco Prieto, consisting of the recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m., followed by a solemn mass at 7:00 p.m. in the Church of San José de Campolongo, to end it, carry out a procession with torches, accompanying several images of Virgins, from San José to the Basilica of Santa María la Mayor. On Tuesday 9 the opening ceremony of the jubilee year will take place with an act at 6:30 p.m. and a festive mass, which for reasons of space will take place in the Basilica of Santa María la Mayor, remaining the Sanctuary of the Apparitions (today the House of the Immaculate Heart of Mary) in Sor Lucía Street, Open from 5 pm to 10 pm. From Thursday, December 11, the House of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will have the celebration of two daily masses, seven days a week, one in the morning at 10:00 a.m. and another in the afternoon at 6:00 p.m., rosaries will also be held, this being one of the prayers that Our Lady asked for the most. El 10 de diciembre de 1925, Nuestra Señora Advocación de Fátima acompañada por el Niño Jesús, visitó a sor Lucia una de las pastorcillas portuguesas (sus primos Francisco y Jacinta
ya habían muerto) para pedirle en el colegio de las HH. Doroteas de Pontevedra, la devoción de los “Cinco Primeros Sábados de Mes”.Debido a cumplirse este año el
centenario de la citada visita, el Vaticano otorgó que, desde el 10 de
diciembre de este año al 10 de diciembre de 2026, fuese declarado año jubilar,
con concesión de indulgencias. Para lo cual tendrán lugar una serie de actos, a
fin de que los fieles puedan disfrutar de esta efemérides.
Los actos arrancarán el lunes día
8 de diciembre (Día de la Inmaculada) con una celebración Inter parroquial
presidida por el arzobispo de la diócesis de Santiago, Francisco Prieto, consistentes
en el rezo del rosario a las 18:00 horas, seguida de una misa solemne a las
19:00 en la Iglesia de San José de Campolongo, para terminada esta, realizar
una procesión con antorchas, acompañando varias imágenes de Vírgenes, desde San
José hasta la Basílica de Santa María la Mayor.
El martes 9 se procederá al acto de apertura del año jubilar con un acto a las 18:30 horas y una misa de fiesta, que por razón de espacio tendrá lugar en la Basílica de Santa María la
Mayor, permaneciendo el Santuario de las Apariciones (hoy Casa del Inmaculado Corazón de María) en la calle Sor Lucía, abierto desde las 17 a las 22 horas.El día 10 habrá en el Santuario misa a las 11:00 (retransmitida en 13 TV) a las 12:00 Rosario en el patio y por la tarde habrá misa a las 13:00 y a las 18:00 horas. A las 19:00 horas tendrá lugar una procesión hasta la Basílica.
Desde el día jueves 11 de
diciembre, la Casa del Inmaculado Corazón de María, contará con la celebración
de dos misas diarias, los siete días de la semana, una matinal a las 10:00
horas y otra vespertina a las 18:00 horas, igualmente se llevarán a cabo
rosarios, siendo este uno de los rezos que más pidió Nuestra Señora.
El sabado 29 de noviembre, será realizada una rueda de prensa, para presentar a los medios los pormenores de los actos conmemorativos de este año jubilar.
