TROPAS DEL EJERCITO DE MISION EN EPOCA DE NAVIDAD//ARMY TROOPS ON MISSION AT CHRISTMAS TIME

 Cuando uno ha pasado una dilatada vida militar, adquiere experiencias de distintas situaciones, vicisitudes y de las que no se escapa la de estar fuera del ámbito familiar en fechas especiales y sobre todo en la entrañable Navidad.

Es cierto, que los temperamentos varían, según tu propia naturaleza, país de pertenencia, situación social, familiar o política y por supuesto el mayor o menor apego familiar, siempre más acusado en unos casos que en otros.

Ciñéndome a la experiencia (antes citada) habida cuenta que he estado varias veces en esta situación, dos de ella en un ambiente internacional, pude constatar que, llegado el momento, todo el mundo tiene un rinconcito en su corazón, que en ese instante hacer sentir la nostalgia de la lejanía de sus seres queridos.

Quizás sea por ello, que en esos días se llevan a cabo ciertas actividades, para cortar la rutina diaria, sin que por ello se flexibilice el tiempo dedicado al servicio encomendado, pero si relajando el tiempo que tienes de descanso, donde entran en juego:  competiciones deportivas, tengas menús especiales o recibas en el lugar de destino la visita de una autoridad de un determinado país, ministro de defensa, presidente, príncipe o rey.

También algunos grupos musicales, hacen un hueco en sus agendas, para desplazarse a la zona de misión y poder amenizar con sus canciones a las tropas de su país.

Como todos viven la misma situación, existe una mayor empatía entre unos y otros para ayudarse, comprenderse, escucharse y aplacar la añoranza, incluso se aprovecha para hacer regalos al estilo del “amigo invisible”. Regalos que de antemano se establece un promedio de cuantía, para evitar diferencias, y que se pueden adquirir en los PX (Tiendas tipo bazar) que ayudan con sus ingresos a pagar algunos gastos derivados de la misión y en las que

encuentras cosas de todo tipo desde ropa de vestir a prendas y objetos deportivos o incluso herramientas y colonias.

Se realizan ceremonias de tipo religioso, según el rito mayoritario del contingente, se forman coros con aquellos voluntarios, que tienen conocimientos musicales o aptitud para el canto.

Las nuevas tecnologías ayudan también a soportar las ausencias de los seres queridos, dando que te puedes comunicar con ellos y no solo oír su voz sino también ver su imagen. Algo que palia la sensación nostálgica que en determinados momentos te invade, pero que en Navidad se hace más patente.

Gracias a la I.A., también los jefes de estado de los distintos países se pueden dirigir simultáneamente a sus tropas destinadas en las distintas misiones, sean estas de OTAN, ONU, UE e incluso las desplegadas en la Antártida y a su vez los militares oír sus palabras a través de las pantallas de TV.

Pero está claro que, si es duro para las tropas de misión pasar estos días fuera de casa, cuanto más duro será para aquellas que estan involucradas en cualquier conflicto armado.

Para todos ellos mi deseo de Amor, Paz y Harmonía y feliz regreso a casa.

When one has spent a long military life, one acquires experiences of different situations, vicissitudes and from which they do not escape: being outside the family environment on

special dates and especially at the endearing Christmas.

It is true that temperaments vary, according to your own nature, country of belonging, social,
family or political situation and of course the greater or lesser family attachment, always more pronounced in some cases than in others.

Sticking to the experience (mentioned above) given that I have been in this situation several times, two of them in an international environment, I was able to verify that, when the time comes, everyone has a little corner in their heart, which at that moment makes them feel the nostalgia of the distance from their loved ones.

Perhaps it is for this reason, that on those days certain activities are carried out, to cut the daily routine, without making the time dedicated to the entrusted service more flexible, but relaxing the time you have for rest, where sports competitions come into play, you have special menus

or you receive at the destination the visit of an authority of a certain country,  Minister of Defence, President, Prince or King.

Some musical groups also make time in their agendas, to travel to the mission area and be able to entertain the troops of their country with their songs.

As everyone lives in the same situation, there is greater empathy between each other to help each other, understand each other, listen to each other and placate the longing, even taking advantage of it to give gifts in the style of the "secret santa". Gifts that are established in advance an average amount, to avoid differences, and that can be purchased in the PX (Bazaar Shops) that help with their income to pay some expenses derived from the mission and in which you find things of all kinds from clothing to clothing and sports objects or even tools and colognes.

Religious ceremonies are performed, according to the majority rite of the contingent, choirs

are formed with those volunteers, who have musical knowledge or aptitude for singing.

New technologies also help to support the absences of loved ones, since you can communicate with them and not only hear their voice but also see their image. Something that alleviates the nostalgic feeling that at certain times invades you, but that at Christmas becomes more evident.

Thanks to AI, the heads of state of the different countries can also simultaneously address their troops assigned to the different missions, whether they are from NATO, UN, EU and even those deployed in Antarctica, and in turn the military can hear their words through the TV screens.

But it is clear that, if it is hard for mission troops to spend these days away from home, how much harder it will be for those who are involved in any armed conflict.
