PERSECUCION CRISTIANA EN NIGERIA
Los cristianos en Nigeria están siendo
sometidos a un autentico genocidio, las iglesias son calcinadas, familias
enteras masacradas, sin que la Comunidad Internacional, haga nada por remediar
la precaria situación. En los últimos tiempos han sido asesinados más de siete
mil cristianos y secuestrados más de ocho mil.
La incursión en el país del siniestro
grupo Boko Haram, creado por Mohammed Yusuf, que sería abatido en el año 2009, por
fuerzas policiales nigerianas. Sigue operando en el Oeste del país. El grupo
juró sumisión al ISIS.
M. Yusuf fue sustituido por Abubakar Shekau. No obstante,
no es el único en sembrar el caos en el país africano. Hay otro grupo denominado
EIAO (Estado Islámico de África Occidental) que también opera en el país. En tiempos más recientes, algunos guerrilleros
de estos grupos dejaron sus guerrillas, para dedicarse al pillaje, en algunos
casos en solitario, pero la mayoría formando parte de grupos de bandidos
organizados para dedicarse al pillaje.
De los hechos que Boko Haram,
llevó a cabo y que, alertó al mundo de sus siniestras intenciones, fue sin duda
el secuestro de doscientas setenta y seis niñas, de una escuela de Chibok, muchas
de ellas utilizadas como esclavas sexuales.
En el año 2019 volvieron a
realizar otro secuestro masivo de niños en esta ocasión fueron ciento diez
adolescentes, de un instituto, de los cuales cinco no pudieron sobrevivir. Los
demás si pudieron ser liberados. Lo más significativo es que servicios de
seguridad habían alertado al ejército nigeriano, de la preparación de este
secuestro, cuatro horas antes de que fuese llevado a cabo, sin que hiciese nada
por abortarlo.
Pese a la desesperada situación
de los cristianos, la Comunidad Internacional no hace mucha presión por
conseguir paliarla, entretenida quizás en otros conflictos más mediáticos.

kidnapping of two hundred and seventy-six girls from a school in Chibok, many
of them used as sex slaves.
In 2019 they carried out another mass
kidnapping of children, this time they were one hundred and ten adolescents,
from a high school, of which five could not survive. The others could be
released. The most significant thing is that security services had alerted the
Nigerian army of the preparation of this kidnapping, four hours before it was
carried out, without doing anything to abort it.
Despite the desperate situation of Christians,
the international community does not exert much pressure to alleviate it,
perhaps entertained in other more mediatic conflicts.
