 PASO DEL ECUADOR DEL AÑO JUBILAR EN PONTEVEDRA

Cuando nos encontramos a menos de dos meses, del paso del Ecuador del año jubilar, concedido por el Vaticano a la Casa-Santuario donde la Nuestra Señora del Rosario, que se apareció acompañada del Niño Jesús a Sor Lucía (la pastorcilla de Fátima) y que arrancó el pasado 10 de diciembre, (fecha del centenario de esa aparición), que se clausurará el 10 de diciembre de este año 2026. Han visitado la Casa de la Virgen, más de diez mil personas, llegadas de muy diferentes partes del mundo. Quienes son recibidos con cariño, por las Hermanas de la Orden del Verbo Encarnado y de la Virgen de Matará cuidadoras de la Casa.

Peregrinos que quieren orar y conocer el lugar, donde Nuestra Señora a través de Sor Lúcia, dio un mensaje tan importante, como es, la devoción de los cinco primeros sábados de mes, conocido también como “La Gran Promesa” consistente en que quien, durante cinco meses seguidos, en el primer sábado de estos, rece el Santo Rosario, haga 15 minutos acompañando su imagen y meditando en los misterios  y confiese sus pecados, Ella le prometió que a la hora de la muerte, le acudiría con las gracias suficientes para alcanzar el cielo.

Fuera de nuestras fronteras, los grupos más numerosos son los procedentes de Polonia, Estados Unidos y Portugal. Quienes dan ejemplo de fe y sienten la necesidad fervorosa de estar en un lugar de oración como es este.

La Virgen del Rosario fue la inspiradora de la letra de la canción: “El Milagro del

Rosario” compuesta por Lee Denson y que grabó Elvis Presley en su diecisiete álbum, que recibió después la bendición del papa Pablo VI.

Resulta sorprendente, paradójico y triste, que las parroquias de la ciudad, no se hagan eco de este año jubilar, los responsables de estas pasan por alto el año jubilar. Es más, algunos párrocos, no quieren poner en los tablones de sus iglesias, el cartel de Año Jubilar, tal vez las palabras de Jesús: “-Nadie es profeta en su tierra”, resuenen alto como ejemplo, en la ciudad de Pontevedra, con el tema de la Casa Santuario, situada en la Rua Sor Lucía (travesía Isabel II).

Pero nadie se da cuenta que la semilla de un grano de mostaza es de las más diminutas y si se siembra, riega y cuida, al final se convierte en una hortaliza tan grande y alta que hasta algunos pájaros anidan en ella. Así también al final el Inmaculado Corazón de María triunfará.

PASSAGE OF THE EQUATOR OF THE JUBILEE YEAR IN PONTEVEDRA

When we find ourselves less than two months away from the passage of the Equator of the Jubilee Year, granted by the Vatican to the House-Shrine where Our Lady of the Rosary, who appeared accompanied by the Child Jesus to Sister Lucia (the shepherdess of Fatima) and who started last December 10, (the date of the centenary of that apparition),  which will close on December 10 of this year 2026.

More than ten thousand people have visited the House of the Virgin, coming from very different parts of the world. They are received with affection by the nuns of the Order of the Incarnate Word and the Virgin of Matará, caretakers of this House.

Pilgrims who want to pray and get to know the place, where Our Lady, through Sister Lucia, gave such an important message, as it is, the devotion of the first five Saturdays of the month, also known as "The Great Promise" consisting of those who, for five months in a row, on the first Saturday of these, pray the Holy Rosary,  15 minutes accompanying her image and meditating on the mysteries and confessing her sins, she promised him that at the hour of death, she would come to him with enough graces to reach heaven.

Outside our borders, the most numerous groups are those from Poland, the United States and Portugal. Those who set an example of faith and feel the fervent need to be in a place of prayer such as this.

The Virgin of the Rosary was the inspiration for the lyrics of the song: "The Miracle

of the Rosary" composed by Lee Denson and recorded by Elvis Presley on his seventeenth album, which later received the blessing of Pope Paul VI.

It is surprising, paradoxical and sad, that the parishes of the city do not echo this jubilee year, those responsible for them overlook the jubilee year. Moreover, some parish priests do not want to put on the boards of their churches, the poster of the Jubilee Year, perhaps the words of Jesus: "No one is a prophet in his own land", resonate loudly as an example, in the city of Pontevedra, with the theme of the Sanctuary House, located on Rua Sor Lucía (Isabel II crossing).

But no one realizes that the seed of a mustard seed is one of the tiniest and if it is planted, watered and cared for, in the end it becomes a vegetable so large and tall that even some birds nest in it. So also in the end the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph.
