SOR LUCIA LA PASTORCITA DE FATIMA

FECHA DE SU NACIMIENTO

Sor Lúcia dos Santos nació en Aljustrel (PORT) el día 28 de marzo de 1907, su

padre la registró como nacida el 22 de marzo, para poder bautizarla el día 30 del mismo mes. Junto con sus primos Francisco (11JUN1908-20ABR1919) y Jacinta (11MAR1910-20FEB1920) fueron testigos directos de la vista de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, desde el 13 de mayo al 13 de octubre de 1917, en Fátima.

VENERACION DE LOS PASTORCILLOS:

Francisco fue declarado venerable por Juan Pablo II el 13MAY1989 y Patrón de los Acolitos Portugueses.

Francisco y Jacinta fueron beatificados por Juan Pablo II el 13MAY2000 y canonizados por el papa Francisco el 13MAY2017.

Lúcia fue declarada venerable por el papa Francisco el 22JUN2023.

INGRESO EN EL ASILO DE VILAR

Cuando sus primos se murieron, Lúcia ingreso en el Asilo de Vilar a las afueras de Oporto, el día 17JUN1921 (tenía 14 años) Pero pese a ser una buena estudiante, como los exámenes los tenía que hacer en el Instituto Arcediago Van-Zeller y para ello tendría que identificarse, no le dejaron hacer los exámenes, para mantener su anonimato.

INGRESO EN LA ORDEN DOROTEA

 A los dieciocho años abandonó el Asilo, para ingresar en las HH Doroteas de Tui, cosa que hizo el 25 de octubre de 1925, pero al día siguiente 26, fue trasladada al colegio del mismo Instituto Doroteo en Pontevedra.

DEVOCION CINCO PRIMEROS SABADOS

El 10DIC1925, en su habitación del Segundo Piso del Colegio, se le apareció la Virgen y el Niño, donde le pide que divulgue por el mundo la Devoción de los “Cinco Primeros Sábados de Mes”. Esta devoción implica el rezo del Santo Rosario, hacer 15 minutos de compañía a su imagen, meditando en los misterios del Rosario, confesar y comulgar, de no ser posible confesar en ese día, hacerlo

dentro de los ocho días siguientes al primer sábado. Cosa que comunicó a su superiora y a su confesor Manuel Lópes Pereira, quien le preguntó por que sábado y que sean cinco. Cosa que no pudo responder.

La Madre de Jesús le dijo: -Mira hija mía, Mi corazón rodeado de espinas, que los hombres ingratos continuamente me clavan con sus blasfemias y pecados, tu al menos procura consolarme y di a todo, que aquellos que hagan la Devoción con el fin de desagraviarme, yo prometo asistirles en la hora de su muerte, con todas las gracias necesarias para la salvación de sus almas.

APARICION DEL NIÑO EN EL PATIO

Lúcia encontró en el patio del colegio un niño, al que preguntó si sabía rezar, animándolo a recitar con ella el Avemaría, después le dijo, que se fuese a la iglesia de Santa María y le pidiese a la Virgen que le mostrase al Niño Jesús. El 15 de febrero un tiempo después de este encuentro, lo vuelva a encontrar y le pregunta: ¿Has ido a pedir a la Virgen, su Niño Jesús? El Niño le contestó: ¿Y tú has difundido para el mundo, aquello que la Madre del Cielo te pidió?  Ella le expresó las dificultades para poder hacerlo, pero Él le contestó que con su gracia podría hacerlo, también le explicó porque en sábado y cinco meses.

-          Sábado por ser el día dedicado a la Virgen y cinco por las ofensas a su persona:

-          Blasfemias contra su inmaculado corazón.

-          Ofensa de aquellos que niegan su maternidad divina.

-          Ofensa de los que niegan su virginidad perpetua.

-          Ofensas de los que infunden odio hacia su persona en los niños.

-          Ofensa de los que ultrajan sus divinas imágenes.

CONSAGRACION DE RUSIA

La otra promesa que le pidió en la aparición de julio de 1917 fue la de la Consagración de Rusia, esta se la formuló en la capilla de las HH Doroteas de Tui el 13JUN1929, mientras realizaba las oraciones de medianoche, siempre rezaba de las 23 a las 00 horas. Donde se le muestra la Santísima Trinidad: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. La arcada, el sagrario y el altar del Santuario de Pontevedra, estaban en ese momento en Tui. Fueron recuperados por el Apostolado Mundial de Fátima, para Pontevedra.

Consagración:

Pio XII, el 31OCT1942, no válida, no en comunión con los obispos del mundo.

Pablo VI, el 13MAY1967, no válida por lo mismo.

Juan Pablo II, el 13MAY1982, Ídem que los anteriores.

Juan Pablo II, el 25MAR1984, Válido. Comunión con los obispos.

Francisco, el 25MAR2022, Válido, en Roma, comunión con obispos.

La segunda consagración de Juan Pablo II del 25MAR1984, supuso caída del Muro de Berlín y el final de la Guerra Fría.

CRUCIFIJO DEL ROSARIO

En 1931 limpiando con un restrillo una fosa séptica, noto que traía algo entre sus dientes, al levantarlo dijo a sus compañeras de trabajo: Miren Dios estaba aquí también, era un rosario con todas las cuentas podridas, pero cuyo crucifijo estaba intacto, lo lavó y desinfectó y con permiso de su superiora, la Madre Magalhaes, lo puso en el rosario que siempre llevaba colgado a su cintura.

El 03OCT1928, profesó sus votos simples en Tui, allí recibió un crucifijo que colgaba sobre el pecho. A las hermanas coadjutoras, le daban uno más pequeño

que a las profesoras, a ella por error le dieron el grande, percatado del error, horas más tarde se lo quitaron y se lo cambiaron por otro que no estaba bendecido por el obispo que había presidido la ceremonia. No le gustó la acción, pero guardó silencio. Solo expresó: Este cambio es señal del que haré con cambio al Instituto del Carmelo. Cuando por fin pudo ingresar en el Carmelo fue el 25MAR1948, tres días antes de la fecha de su cumpleaños, pese que tuvo que entregar a la Madre Brito el rosario, que  tenía como Dorotea, su superiora le dejo conservar el crucifijo encontrado en Pontevedra.

REGRESO A PORTUGAL

Colegio del Sardao

El 15MAY1946, regresa a Portugal, acompañada por la Madre Marinho, pasando al colegio del Sardao en Oporto, en el que permaneció dos años.

Ingreso en el Carmelo de Coímbra

El 25MAR1948, a las 5:30 horas de la mañana, acompañada de la madre Brito, ingresó en el Carmelo, tres días antes de la fecha de su 41 cumpleaños, coincidiendo con la festividad de Jueves Santo. Permaneció en el Convento de Coímbra 57 años, hasta su muerte acaecida el 13FEB2005, a falta de un mes para cumplir los 98 años.

VISITAS PERSONALES

Josemaria Escriba, la visita en Tui los días 2 y 3 de febrero de 1945, animado por ella, comienza la expansión del Opus Dei por Portugal, en lugar de hacerlo por Francia, como lo tenía previsto. Siendo el primer peregrino de Fátima en subir a los altares.

DATE OF BIRTH

Sister Lúcia dos Santos was born in Aljustrel (PORT) on March 28, 1907, her father registered her as born on March 22, so that he could baptize her on the 30th of the

Francis was declared venerable by John Paul II on 13MAY1989 and Patron Saint of the Portuguese Acolytes.

Francisco and Jacinta were beatified by John Paul II on 13MAY2000 and canonized by Pope Francis on 13MAY2017.

Lúcia was declared venerable by Pope Francis on 22JUN2023.

ADMISSION TO THE VILAR NURSING HOME

When her cousins died, Lúcia entered the Vilar Asylum on the outskirts of Porto, on 17JUN1921 (she was 14 years old) But despite being a good student, as she had to take the exams at the Arcediago Van-Zeller Institute and for this she would have to identify herself, they did not let her take the exams, to maintain her anonymity.

ENTRY INTO THE DOROTHEAN ORDER

 At the age of eighteen she left the Asylum, to enter the Doroteas de Tui Sisters, which she did on October 25, 1925, but the next day 26, she was transferred to the school of the same Doroteo Institute in Pontevedra.

DEVOTION FIVE FIRST SATURDAYS

On December 10, 1925, in his room on the Second Floor of the School, the Virgin and Child appeared to him, where he asked him to spread throughout the world the

Devotion of the "Five First Saturdays of the Month". This devotion involves praying the Holy Rosary, keeping company for 15 minutes in her image, meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, confessing and receiving communion, if it is not possible to confess on that day, doing so within eight days of the first Saturday. Something that she communicated to her superior and her confessor Manuel Lópes Pereira, who asked her why Saturday and that there be five. Which he could not answer.

The Mother of Jesus said to her: "Look, my daughter, My heart surrounded by thorns, which ungrateful men continually pierce Me with their blasphemies and sins, you at least try to console Me and say to everything, that those who make Devotion in order to make amends to Me, I promise to assist them at the hour of their death, with all the graces necessary for the salvation of their souls.

 APPEARANCE OF THE CHILD IN THE PLAYGROUND

Lucia found a child in the schoolyard, whom she asked if he knew how to pray, encouraging him to recite the Hail Mary with her, then she told him to go to the church of Santa María and ask the Virgin to show him the Child Jesus. On February 15, some time after this meeting, I met him again and asked him: Have you gone to ask the Virgin, her Child Jesus? The Child answered him: And have you spread to the world what the Mother of Heaven asked of you?  She expressed to him the

difficulties in being able to do it, but He replied that with His grace He could do it, He also explained why on the Sabbath and five months.

 - Saturday for being the day dedicated to the Virgin and five for offenses to her person:

 - Blasphemies against his immaculate heart.

 - Offense of those who deny their divine motherhood.

 - Offense of those who deny their perpetual virginity.

 - Offenses of those who instill hatred towards their person in children.

 - Offense of those who outrage his divine images.

 CONSECRATION OF RUSSIA

The other promise he asked her in the apparition of July 1917 was that of the Consecration of Russia, this was made in the chapel of the Dorothean Sisters of Tui on June 13, 1929, while he was performing the midnight prayers, he always prayed from 11 p.m. to 00 a.m. Where the Holy Trinity is shown to him: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The arcade, the tabernacle and the altar of the Sanctuary of Pontevedra were at that time in Tui. They were recovered by the World Apostolate of Fatima, for Pontevedra.

The second consecration of John Paul II on March 25, 1984, meant the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War.

 CRUCIFIX OF THE ROSARY

In 1931, cleaning a septic tank with a rake, she noticed that she had something between her teeth, when she lifted it she said to her co-workers: Look, God was here too, it was a rosary with all the rotten beads, but whose crucifix was intact, she

washed and disinfected it and with the permission of her superior, Mother Magalhaes, she put it on the rosary that she always wore around her waist.

On 03OCT1928, he professed his simple vows in Tui, where he received a crucifix that hung on his chest. The coadjutor sisters were given a smaller one than the teachers, she was mistakenly given the large one, realizing the error, hours later they took it away and changed it for another one that was not blessed by the bishop who had presided over the ceremony. He did not like the action, but remained silent. He only expressed: This change is a sign of what I will make with change to the Institute of Carmel. When she was finally able to enter Carmel it was on March 25, 1948, three days before the date of her birthday, although she had to give Mother Brito the rosary, which she had as Dorothea, her superior let her keep the crucifix found in Pontevedra.

RETURN TO PORTUGAL

Sardao College

On 15MAY1946, she returned to Portugal, accompanied by Mother Marinho, going to the Sardao school in Porto, where she stayed for two years.

Entry into the Carmel of Coimbra

On March 25, 1948, at 5:30 a.m., accompanied by Mother Brito, she entered Carmel, three days before the date of her 41st birthday, coinciding with the feast of Holy Thursday. He remained in the Convent of Coimbra for 57 years, until his death on February 13, 2005, a month shy of his 98th birthday.
