LOS VIENTOS DE PESIMISMO QUE CORREN EN LA JUVENTUD ACTUAL.

Estos días que, con motivo de un evento deportivo de primer orden mundial, tengo la oportunidad de hablar con jóvenes que podrían ser mis nietos, me asombro del grado de pesimismo en sus conversaciones en los momentos de descanso en relación con la situación geopolítica que vive el mundo.

Son jóvenes bien preparados culturalmente, muchos de ellos con carreras terminadas, pero con la incertidumbre de lo que le deparará el mundo, es verdad que algunos han encontrado en otros países fuera del suyo, buenos puestos de trabajo, pero la mayoría, lo que ganan no les da para afrontar temas como el de poseer una vivienda propia o llegar en corto plazo poder formar una familia, la mayoría tiene pareja, pero sin plantearse seguir juntos en un futuro más o menos largo.

Es verdad que no son pocos los que buscan en sus logros deportivos, una especie de estabilidad emocional, que palie las carencias de ocio, toda vez que el conseguir mantenerse en la élite, les obliga a su vez en mantener una estoica vida y dejar de lado la vida de otros jóvenes de su edad.  Pero no veo en sí, más felices a aquellos que no necesitan de dichas privaciones, pues la frustración de no poder alcanzar los puestos que añoraban hace que miren el deporte, como una cosa de ego personal, que les permita un cierto culto a su cuerpo, pero que el trabajo de gimnasio choca frontalmente con la sociabilidad que desarrollan, después ante la barra de un bar.

No ven para nada un futuro halagüeño, y no hacen caso de los consejos de los mayores que les dicen que a sus años, carecían de cosas que ellos poseen, ahora viajan, tienen coche, preparación universitaria, pero sienten la frustración de no tener la dicha que sus padres a su edad tuvieron, pese a no contar con las cosas que ahora ellos tienen. Algunos me llegaron a decir: ¿Cómo puedo pensar en formar una familia y tener hijos con el futuro que nos queda?  Sin trabajo, sin vivienda, sin vestigios de que alguien quiera cambiar la situación, todos los mandatarios sean del color o, sino que sean, solo piensan en tener más, acumular más riqueza, sin preocuparse en lo más mínimo del pueblo que le aupó al poder.

Reconocen que los jóvenes que surgieron de las cenizas de una guerra, lo tuvieron peor, pero dicen que esos tuvieron su época, que pensaban que la democracia les traería una estabilidad que ahora no ven, esta mañana una joven me decía, lo que más me frustra es que en los grandes Organismos, creados para mantener la paz, algunos se vanaglorien de querer hacer la guerra sin ruborizarse, ni que nadie les afee la conducta, porque todos piensan que al final, a rio revuelto más ganancia de los pescadores.

THE WINDS OF PESSIMISM THAT BLOW IN TODAY'S YOUTH.

These days when, on the occasion of a world-class sporting event, I have the opportunity to talk to young people who could be my grandchildren, I am amazed at the degree of pessimism in their conversations in the moments of rest in relation to the geopolitical situation that the world is experiencing.

They are culturally eir own, but most of them, what they earn is not enough to face issues such as owning their own ho well-prepared young people, many of them with finished degrees, but with the uncertainty of what the world will bring them, it is true

that some have found good jobs in other countries outside thme or getting to start a family in the short term, most have a partner, but without considering staying together in the more or less long future.

It is true that there are many who seek in their sporting achievements, a kind of emotional stability, which alleviates the lack of leisure, since managing to stay in the elite, forces them in turn to maintain a stoic life and leave aside the lives of other young people of their age. But I do not see in themselves, happier those who do not need such deprivations, because the frustration of not being able to reach the positions they longed for makes them look at sport, as a thing of personal ego, which allows them a certain cult of their body, but that gym work clashes head-on with the sociability they develop, then in front of the bar of a bar.

They do not see a promising future at all, and they do not pay attention to the advice of the elders who tell them that at their age, they lacked things that they own,

now they travel, they have a car, university preparation, but they feel the frustration of not having the happiness that their parents had at their age, despite not having the things they have now.

Some even said to me: How can I think of starting a family and having children with the future we have left? Without work, without housing, without vestiges that someone wants to change the situation, all the leaders are of color or, if they are, they only think about having more, accumulating more wealth, without worrying in the least about the people who brought them to power.

They recognize that the young people who emerged from the ashes of a war, had it worse, but they say that they had their time, that they thought that democracy would bring them a stability that they do not see now, this morning a young woman told me, what frustrates me the most is that in the great Organizations, created to maintain peace, some boast of wanting to wage war without blushing, or that no one blames their behavior, because everyone thinks that in the end, the river will make more profit for the fishermen.
